Melissa, with deepest regrets and sorrow for your loss. You have a ton of wonderful memories with George to look back on. Thank you for sharing many of them with me.
Geo, you brought so much fun and joy into our lives I wouldn't know where to begin. At least now the pain is gone and you can put that smile back on that we were used to seeing you with. You could be the biggest pain but we loved you for it. I will never forget you my friend and I will rejoice that day when we meet again and you hand me a beer and tell me another funny story. Till then my brother...rest in peace.

Spent a number of years working with George in the Global Real Estate organization of AT&T in Basking Ridge, NJ. He was a wonderful co-worker and a kind and sensitive man. My condolences go out to his wife, siblings and extended family.

Melissa, please accept my sincerest condolences on George's passing. My heart and prayers go out to you. I am so sorry that you have to go through this terrible loss. I will always remember George from our bowling together in Manville and the "Sandy sandwich." He sure was a ball buster and a good guy.

Heartfelt sympathy to the entire Schmitt family - I knew George through many others that worked at AT&T, and worked with his brother Steve. George had the greatest sense of humor and was one of the coolest people I know. Rest now George, see you on the other side.

My heart aches for all of George's family and friends. I worked with George at AT&T "back in the day", and enjoyed his fun loving and joyful approach to life. His wit always injected levity in all problem solving situations. He was very smart and a true team player.
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope eventually the void and pain will be filled with memories that will make you smile.
Sincerely,
Melanie

George we go back to the early 60's. You were like a brother, we did everything together as youths with our Merrick gang. You always said it like it was, never sugar coating anything. That's just how you rolled. We all seemed to drift apart, raising families, or moved away. But we all seemed to come full circle hanging back with our old crowd again. It's dear life long friends that make all of us who we are. Our last ride on our Harley's will be held sacred to my heart, as you being a dear close friend. I will never forget you brother. Now you go rest in peace n see you on the other side pal. I will never forget you.

With great sadness, I read of Georges passing. My condolences to Mellissa and all of his family. I worked for George for many years at AT&T, and came away with a true sense of what manager should be. He gave me a sense of empowerment that no other manager has ever made me feel. I never knew a single person who has ever met him who wasn't impressed with him as genuine and real. I am going to miss George terribly.....what a tremendous loss! Much love to all.
