Obituary of Neil G Muenzen

Neil Gerard ("Jerry") Muenzen of Basking Ridge, NJ died on Good Friday, March 25, 2016. He was 82 years old. Born in Mt. Vernon, NY on August 12, 1933, he was the youngest of 10 children born to Leo James Muenzen and Martha Bryant Muenzen. He served in the US Navy, during the Korean War aboard the USS Essex, specializing in avionics electrical systems. He graduated with honors from New York University with a BS in Marketing. He worked in the Purchasing Division of Continental Can Co in New York from 1959 to 1972 and later was Vice President of Corporate Purchasing for Sea-Land Services, Worldwide. His 9 siblings and spouses are deceased, as well as his infant son, Todd Andrew. He is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; by his 4 children and spouses: Susan Muenzen Morabito, Gary Bryant Muenzen (Joanne), Patricia Muenzen Pierson (Robert), Douglas Jeffrey Muenzen (Laurel); by his 10 grandchildren: Linnea, Sara, Christopher, John, Samuel, Luke, Liam, Brandon, Nicole and Stephanie; and by his 3 great grandchildren: Audrey, Oliver and Fiona. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 1, 2015 at 10 am at St James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge. All are welcome.
