Rev. Thomas L. Shanklin posted a condolence
Thursday, October 15, 2015
Edith, Mrs. Roser, was one of my first Church School teachers in Green Village, NJ. As an adult I would run into her at Bishop Janes UMC. When I spoke with anyone from BJUMC, I always asked about her. She was truly a servant with a big heart. I shall always remember her as a woman of God who lived love. I also remember her husband, John. When I was in my 20's I worked at an Industrial Hardware store and John would call in orders. It had many years till then when I connected with him. It was mysterious that the day John passed, I called his house to speak with Mrs. Roser. Instead I got John. I felt blessed to have been one of the last people to speak with him. Edith will be sorely missed because she was so loved and so giving. God Bless her as she lives in eternity. Love and blessings to her children. Rev. Thomas L. Shanklin, 16114 Pennington Road, Tampa, Florida 33624 and Lempster, New Hampshire

Still this year, her 94th, Edith was downstairs whenever I practiced - helping in kitchen, Wesley or Melick Hall - blue eyes shining with love and humor - offering me whatever dessert was left over from quilters or UMW. What a wonderful woman, friend, tireless servant of others!
