Obituary of Mary E Hoffman

Mary Elizabeth Hoffman, 78, of Basking Ridge, passed away on June 23, 2014 in Morristown, New Jersey. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m., June 26, at St. James Catholic Church, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, June 26, at St. James. Burial will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, 95 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ. Repass at St. James following cemetery service. Arrangements are by Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home. Mary E. Hoffman was born in Trenton, New Jersey to John and Julia Hoffman on July 18, 1935. She attended Verona High School. She worked as an advertising account executive at Lasky and David H. Block advertising agencies and was Marketing Director at Transfer Print Foils, New Brunswick, NJ. Mary concluded her career as office assistant at Davies Insurance, Murray Hill, NJ. Mary was the CYO parish youth leader at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, New Providence for twenty years, where she also was very active in religious education, The Rosary Alter Society and numerous Parish organizations. Mary is survived by her son Michael R. Hoffman and Corrine Hoffman; her sister Patricia Blasi, her grandchildren John, Sarah, David and Julia Hoffman and her many loving cousins from the Savage family of Elizabeth. Pallbearers will be John Hoffman, David Hoffman, Michael Savage, Robert Savage and Joseph Savage. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Catholic Charities, 319 Maple Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 0886.
