Walt always had that big smile and made you feel he was delighted to see you. I am so glad I had a chance to catch up and share a laugh with him at a recent BP reunion. I will miss him and always think of him as a friendly, self-effacing person.

Walt and I graduated from Brooklyn Prep in 1960. The last time I saw him was when I bumped into him at Camp Drum in the late '60s. He was serving in the national guard as was I and we had a nice chat. I remember his open, friendly manner. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace!

To Marilyn and family,
We am still in shock over Walter's passing. I first met Walter in our freshman year at Fordham and a true friendship developed that was very important to us. There are so many great memories of the days when Walter and Marilyn would double date with us in Brooklyn, to our trips to Nathan's in Coney Island for late evening hot dogs, to our being each other's wedding party. We were always laughing and having a great time.
I look back fondly to the good times we shared together at Fordham, and to the mutual parties we shared in each other's apartments in Brooklyn as newly weds. We always seemed to really enjoy our times with each other.
Walter was always upbeat, friendly, and just a good person to be with. We will really miss him.

My condolences to Walt's family. He was a wonderful classmate and friend at Brooklyn Prep whose passing is so saddening. Our too infrequent encounters since then just confirmed what made him so special. May God bless.

I remember Walt mostly from freshman year at Brooklyn Prep, when we were in the same class. My main memory: he was a very classy guy. RIP.

I did not know Walter well, having only lived across the street from him for a few months, but he was always friendly and kind; would stop to share a story or two. I wish his family peace during this difficult time.
