I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. After many years, I finally had a chance to talk with him on the telephone about six months ago and it was really nice to touch base with him.
I worked for Bob when he as the manager of the General Operating Department, which reported to Jack McGalliard, the Vice President of Transmission & Distribution Operations. I was just a year out of college when he hired me. My title was Methods Engineer. I remember the exact date: August 23, 1976. The other folks in our department were Cindy Sills, Gloria Albanese, Orville Meslar, George Bock - there were others, but they were the core of the department.
Bob sent me on all kinds of interesting assignments and it was a fun job. As usual, things changed after Jack McGalliard retired - we lost our corporate champion. I eventually left the department in the early 1980s to accept a position at the corporate GPU Corp. headquarters, but there were times when I regretted leaving. Bob hung in there and rose to success as noted in the obit.
It was because of Bob that I stayed in the electric power industry until I retired. God bless Bob Fullagar. I will remember him always with fondness.

Would like to send my sincerest condolences to Bob’s family. Met Bob almost 30 years ago when I moved into the neighborhood, and always enjoyed our chats out in front of his house. Usually while he was out cutting the grass. We both have Industrial Engineering degrees and had a lot in common.
I will miss him.
