Betsey was my very beloved aunt, and was so very dear to me. We visited from the West Coast almost every year when I was growing up, and in more recent years, Betsey made enormous effort to come west to see us for many of our family milestones. She was extremely smart, had a wonderfully quirky sense of humor, and created a beautiful and warm home that she always welcomed us into with open arms. There was one particular year during college when I lived on the East Coast when I spent all of the holidays at her house, and she truly treated me like a daughter. She was a loving and generous sibling to my father, and a wonderful aunt – I loved her dearly, and will miss her always. My deepest condolences and love to Karen, Megan, Brock, and Emily. We will be making donations to the two organizations mentioned here, plus the Sierra club, in her honor.
