My favorite substitute teacher. Nothing better than seeing Mrs. Krumbiegel in the classroom. Instantly made my day. She was very kind and loved to banter with the students. B.H.S. was extremely fortunate for her time.

We only became friends with Clarissa a few years ago but grew to love her dearly. She was so full of life and so much fun to talk to. It seems she lived an exciting, full life with many, many friends. She was so proud of her substitute teaching at the Bernardsville High School and was clearly loved by all the students she helped. She loved her husband, her children and dear little Jake. We talked with her by phone and mail many times and loved everything about her. We are devastated by her sudden passing.

Your mom knitted me a beautiful Navy & White blanket, which I treasure to this day. I worked as a secretary at the High School. I also knew your Dad. Two very dedicated people.
Larissa, my prayers are with you & your family

I am so very sad that Mrs. Krumbiegel has passed as she has been a friend to 4 generations of my family. She was originally friends with my grandmother, and then developed a close relationship with my mother, seeing her every week. I had Mrs Krumbiegel as a substitute teacher in high school, and after my mom passed in 2019, she and I would talk every month about everything from memories of my mom to politics and especially about my son, who she called "my little genius. "
When we talked on the phone, my son would take it and go on and on about his latest chemistry experiment and she would listen carefully. She took any opportunity to sent him $20 for experiment supplies and some candy, and I just went to her house last Wednesday to pick up her Christmas present for him. I remember thinking that surely she would live forever...she was sharp as a tack and witty as always. My family will miss her so much.

Larissa, I am so sorry for your loss, but I know that you have been at some sort of peace knowing of the wonderful impact she has had on students at Bernard’s high school as well as staff. She was especially loved and embraced by the Special Education department. Whenever any of us needed a substitute there was not a question that we would contact Clarissa. When we told the students that Mrs. Krumbiegel would be the substitute, 100% of the time, the students would say ,
“YAY!” She was one of a kind. You were the most wonderful daughter to her. May she Rest In Peace.

I am praying for you and for all your family that will miss you immensely. I will always remember that you made me the most delicious blueberry pies and Larissa would bring them to school for me. The best I ever tasted.
Many prayers!!!
