Obituary of Thomas J. Welsh, Jr.

Thomas J. Welsh, Jr., loving father, and husband, passed away at Morristown Medical Center on Oct. 12 after a short illness. He was 94. Mr. Welsh was born and raised in Philadelphia. After graduating from LaSalle College High School in 1945, Thomas was drafted into the United States Army-Air Force 86th Fighter Group, where he served in Allied occupied Germany post WWII. Thomas graduated from Lasalle University with a degree in Chemistry. Thomas and his wife, Eileen, moved to Warren NJ in 1981 where they raised their son Thomas Welsh. Mr. Welsh was employed by Celanese Company, where he served as Vice President. Thomas was a self-made man, working hard for everything he had. He was a devout catholic and was a member of Our lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church. During his free time, Thomas was often found playing a round of golf with his friends. Mr. Welsh is survived by his loving wife Eileen and son Thomas. Family and friends are invited to visit with his family on Friday, Oct 15 from 9-11am at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 170 Mount Bethel Road, Warren, NJ, followed by Liturgy of Christian Burial starting at 11.
