Thomas Welsh was my husband's best friend and the best man at our wedding at St Patrick's Cathedral in New York in 1979. They met when both were working for Celanese and my husband Richard had the greatest respect for Tom's business abilities and his integrity. Tom, being the wonderful Catholic he is, also was instrumental in my husband's conversion to the Catholic faith. We shared many social occasions with Tom and Eileen and those memories will stay with me forever. Tom was a good man in every sense of the word. May he meet with Richard in heaven for a martini!

I am sorry my previous memory did not come through. I wrote one the other night. Thomas Welsh was my uncle. He was a wonderful uncle, kind, loving, and a gentleman through and through. Tom had many nieces and nephews whom he loved and we loved him. Whenever we saw Tom, we knew that we would always get a big hug, a great smile, and some of his priceless advice. I am very sorry that my Uncle Tom had to leave us. You, your great hugs, your wonderful smile, and your advice will be missed. Rest in Peace, Uncle Tom.

Thomas Welsh was my uncle. He was a wonderful uncle. Whenever I saw him, he always had a big hug and made me feel so special. Tom had many nieces and nephews and he made all of us feel that way. We knew that when we saw Uncle Tom, a big hug and his beautiful smile were waiting for us. Before COVID, some of my cousins and I would visit him, go out to lunch with him, and celebrate his birthday. It was a very special day for all of us Uncle Tom was never one who liked a fuss made over him, but he did enjoyed our visit and that day. Thank you, Uncle Tom, for your kindness. You, your smile, and your wonderful hugs will be greatly missed.
