Doug was an incredible person and a shining light. He was never the loudest or most talkative person in the room, but when he talked everyone listened. The years that I spent with Doug in the Toothbrush group produced great memories that I will take with me forever. He was never too busy to discuss a technical problem or provide his feedback on an issue that I was having. This meant a lot to an early-in-career Engineer from Georgia. I will cherish our lunches, smiles, and hearty laughs. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

Doug was an amazing friend and professional. Always with a helping hand, teaching and sharing valuable insights. He will be deeply missed, he was an amazing partner to us, I will definitely miss being the first two to join the meeting calls at the company, were we just chat and catch up about things. He was a kind, smart, family man, I am thankful to be able to had meet him.

My heartfelt condolences to Doug's family and friends. He was a steadfast member of the team that worked hard to build the powered toothbrush business at Colgate. He was a kind soul with a wry sense of humor that will be missed. Thank you for sharing him with us at Colgate.

Doug was a go-to subject matter expert and a key person in our Colgate Supply Chain Organization. He was approachable and willing to share his knowledge with anyone who needed his help. We worked together, traveled together, drank beer and laughed together. He was a great professional but a better friend and he will be missed by all that knew him.

I didn't work directly with Doug. But I know many who did. And I keep hearing the same sentiment of appreciation of him.

I met Doug in 2010 through the collaboration project between Colgate and Omron. It was very exciting for me. We always really had a good discussion and progress by his kindly and continuous support, so that we could launch the very innovative powered electric toothbrush in EU/Japan. I remember that Doug and I had a lot of drink when I visit the factory/office as business trip. This is also good memory for me. Now I’m working for Healthcare business to realize “Going for Zero” on CVD event. I will accelerate this, all for healthcare, for everyone. Thank you, Doug.

Doug taught me so much since I had joined Colgate in 2012. He was my go-to guy for any product development, timeline, and tooling questions I had, and he always provided me with answers; he was a fount of knowledge. But what I really miss is his gentle, calm, sometimes shy personality and his kind smile. Doug, you will be truly missed.

It is truly a sad day, when a person as wonderful as Doug was, leaves us all in a moments time......he had such serenity around his stature, his calm ways were beautiful, as its hard to find someone so sweet and calm and reserved at the same time. but Doug was all of that. He was such a wonderful husband, to Barb..and a leader to the whole family....his presence will be missed deeply...May God hold the family in his hands these hardest of days.......

Doug was a relative you would choose as a friend. Quiet but always said the important things with humor and respect. He showed his love for other in his actions. Cooking was an act of showing his love (and he was so good at it!). I always looked forward to gatherings in his and Barbara's home -- it was the essence of "family." There is another hole in our family that cannot be filled. Our hearts are broken,

Doug is a great guy, wonderful friend and colleague. I had the pleasure to work with him for most of his tenure at Colgate. He was an amazing engineering leader for the power toothbrush business, the go-to guy, for difficult assignments that only he could accomplish. I will cherish our daily team lunches, his amazing wit and passion. Doug will forever be an everlasting member of the Colgate toothbush engineering team and will be terribly missed. Godspeed.
