Obituary of Sherrill J Hunt

Sherrill Jean Hunt of Millington, NJ, 72, passed away peacefully, at home, July 13, 2020 after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Warren and Helen Tweedy. She was born in Teaneck, NJ and grew up in Ramsey and Convent Station, NJ. A talented artist and decorator, Sherrill studied painting with noted portraitist and illustrator Carroll Jones Jr. for four years. She was formerly Assistant Art Director at General Drafting Company. From 1998 to 2007 she owned the Millington Country Shop, an antique shop. Most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Sherrill was the beloved wife of Fred Hunt, her husband of 46 years; mother of Jennifer Dragone and husband Vito, Melissa Frese and husband Brian, Meredith Hunt and Megan Licata and husband Mario; grandmother of Nicholas and Max Dragone and Hudson, Hadley and Miles Frese; and sister of Karen Lai and Michelle Nieman. Services will be private. Services are being held by Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home.
