Obituary of Rui Yi Han

Mr. Rui Yi Han passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2012 at age 75 in Bridgewater, New Jersey, after a short battle with colon cancer. Mr. Han was the beloved and loving husband of Yun Xia Liu, devoted and beloved father of Deping Han, Shiao Dong Han and Shawna Han West, father-in-law of Andrew West, and adored grandfather of TianTian Han, Melody You and Athena Han West. Mr. Han was born on October 10, 1937 inTai'an City of Shandong Province in China. He graduated from Beijing Aeronautical and Aerospace University in 1961. Prior to his graduation he participated in the successful launching of the first aircraft designed and manufactured by the university. Upon graduation he embarked upon a successful career at Chengdu Aero-Electronics Company, Ltd. He was the Chief Designer, Chief Engineer, and Executive Vice President of the company. He was the first within the company to be awarded the highest level of distinction in the engineering profession. He led a number of major successful R&D projects that resulted in long-lasting commercial value and was granted life-time achievement awards by the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Industry. Mr. Han was intensely dedicated and devoted to his career and family, demonstrating pursuit of excellence, perfection and determination, and inspiring the same in others. He loved cooking, gardening, Beijing Opera and outdoor activities. Mr. and Mrs. Han immigrated to the US in 1997. Mr. Han embraced the Christian faith during his illness. ""
