She resided at Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, NJ. Marilyn grew up in Irvington, NJ, the eldest daughter of Frederick and Helen Stefany. A gifted musician, she studied piano from an early age. She also played the French horn in the Irvington High School band. After high school, she attended the New Jersey College for Women, majoring in music. In 1948, she married Rudy Schober and they enjoyed 64 years of a loving and beautiful marriage. Marilyn and Rudy built a home in Union, NJ, and raised a family of four children, who were the recipients of their love and affection. In addition, Marilyn served in many capacities at First Baptist Church in Union, and joyfully shared God’s word for over forty years as a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary. She was a student and teacher of the Bible, especially during her years in Bible Study Fellowship. She faithfully played piano for gatherings of these organizations and many more, even into her ninth decade. Marilyn and Rudy shared a love for travel which took them to many places in the United States, Europe, and even a special trip to New Zealand and Australia. Their happiest travels were trips that celebrated their love of family. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Rudy and her brother Rick Stefany. Marilyn is survived by her four devoted children and their spouses, Ron (Nadine) Schober, Mark (Bonnie) Schober, Kathy (Rick) Oliver, and Carol (Fritz) Policelli, as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
