Obituary of Bette Saalmuller

Elizabeth "Bette" Ferrante Saalmuller, passed away on May 14, 2011 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born and raised in Bernardsville, Bette graduated the Grammar School of St. Elizabeth in Bernardsville. She was then graduated from the Academy of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, N.J. and Harcum Junior College, Pa.Bette volunteered countless hours to numerous causes in Morris and Somerset Counties. Her recent volunteer work included the Women's Association of Morristown Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Bargain Box Thrift Shop. Bette will be remembered by all as a patient, warm and caring mother, wife and friend. Her family will remember her amazing smile and generosity and of course, her cooking and gardening. Bette took great pride in her family and wanted nothing more than to spend as much time as possible with her husband, children and grandchildren. Bette is survived by her loving husband Phil, two beloved daughters, Tara and husband Tim Hanlon, Laura and husband Drew Schilpp, and three adoring grand children, A.J. Schilpp and Tess and T.J. Hanlon, her sister, Anne Galdieri and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and Anthony Ferrante and brothers Connie and James Ferrante. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was held on Wed. May 18, 2011 at 11:00AM at The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bernardsville NJ.
