Dear Pat, Peter and Jeanne, Only today I read of Don's passing which was several months ago. I thought I had just seen the photos of him and Pat smiling at an landmark wedding anniversary where he looked very fit and still quite young, so I hope that his illness was short. My most vivid memories of Don are those of over 50 years ago, so to me he will always be the young, at-first-reserved, music-loving, technically-competent, pipe-smoking, wine-drinking gentleman farmer who successfully wooed my good friend in record time and stayed happily married to her for the rest of his life while raising two lovely children and nurturing lovely dogs and sometimes fearful cats! I am sad and smiling at the same time. I send my love and deepest sympathy to you three and to his grandchildren..

Greetings: I'm very sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

Pat,
I came to know Don as a quiet non assuming man dedicated as you yourself are to God and family. Seems I only chatted with him several weeks ago
left our conversation feeling his health situation had turned for the better.
He now sits with the saints and I have one more star to guide me. Joan
and I extend our sincerest condolences to you, your family, and to all of Don's loved ones. With regret we will miss his memorial service owing to the fact we
Will be attending another- same time, in Worcester Ma. For my son in law's mother. We will howeverkeep the Lorenz family in our thoughts and prayers as it's members mourn Don's passing. Best and God Bless. John Burns

Pete, Laura, Pete Jr. and Natalie, we're so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved dad and grandpa. He certainly must have been very very proud of all of you and knowing the type of neighbor and friend you have always been, Pete, we just know he was an absolutely wonderful person - you must have learned that somewhere. Much love to you -- please lean on us during this tough time - that's what neighbors do! Julianne, Mike, Patrick and Kieran
