Obituary of Albert Ron Deimel

Albert R. (Ron) Deimel, 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Ron was a resident of Basking Ridge at the time of his passing with wife Lorraine at his side. He leaves behind daughter, Laurie Deimel of Annandale, and son, David and his wife, Lisa Deimel of Bonita Springs, Fl., two granddaughters, Gabrielle and Leigha, and two great grandsons. Ron was born in 1933 in Tannersville, NY. He graduated from Hunter Tannersville Central School at age 16; then enlisted into the U.S. Army during the Korean War time at age 17. He was a recipient of a Purple Heart having been wounded in combat and received an honorable discharge as Sergeant Regular Army in June 1953. He married Lorraine Osborne in June of 1954. It was love at first sight. Their marriage lasted 63 years. Ron was employed after the Army with Slutsky Contruction Co., Oborne Machine Co., Pickette Machine Co., and retired in 1998. Ron loved his family, church, working on his home and gardens. He adored fishing with his family and friends, and traveling the United States, the great country he loved so much. Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017, 11:00am at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church, 38 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ.
