I had the pleasure of being one of Tom's high school classmates at St. Joseph Regional. Out of the 197 students in our graduating class, I respected him more than any other. His native intelligence inspired me to always seek academic excellence and I was proud to call him my friend. I hope he had a full and satisfying life and my heartfelt condolences to those who also mourn his loss.

Sorry for your loss. I just read about Tom in the Spring Issue of the Saint Joseph Regional High School newsletter. I will always remember Tom from high school as being the quiet type. He never flaunted the fact that he was one of the more intelligent members of our class.
Eternal Rest, Tom.... Rest in Peace Old Friend....

I had the opportunity to work with Tom for the past few years. It was always a pleasure to chat with him when I was in NJ on business. He had a special way of mentoring colleagues. Always friendly and very supportive. My deepest sympathies are with the Skrobala family at this time.

To Tom's family and all who knew or met him (and then immediately became a friend, which is everyone), my sincerest condolences.
Attending mass this morning at the chapel of St. Michael (Adorno Fathers, Ramsey) I became aware of his sudden passing.
I am saddened by his loss, as his gentle and caring nature was truly what this world needs.
My childhood memories of Tom at St Paul's school remain among my fondest.
Today I cry, but know that God has taken back to his heart one of the best among us.
Godspeed Tom

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Thomas, Jr. The Skrobalas are a very close family, rock-solid members of the Ramsey community, and the loss of one son is a huge sorrow for the entire family. My family are life-long friends of the Skrobalas, and we share their grief at this great loss.

I have known Tom for over a year as my mentor. Tom was very knowledgeable, wise but yet very humble, caring and helpful. He was very supportive, shared any amount of knowledge he had and helped junior developers like me, to grow.
Tom will continue to live in our hearts, in the form of knowledge that he has imparted us.

I worked with Tom at AT&T 30 years ago when we were both early in our careers.
When I received the news of his death this morning I immediately remembered him.
He was a creative, witty, thoughtful, ego-less person;
A mentor to others including myself.
Tom had high standards in his craft and this benefited everyone around him.
I won't be attending his memorial but I'm thinking about him today..

I worked with Tom remotely from Ottawa for the past 5 years. His expertise, work ethic, friendly attitude and unfailing patience was something I admired and grew to depend on heavily. It was always a comfort in the middle of a stressful or challenging technical issue related to simulation, to know that if all else fails, you could go to Tom and he would somehow help you out. I think many people globally came to rely on Tom this way. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Nancy, Anna, Daniel, Jaime and all of the extended Skrobala family.
Our hearts are truly broken. Tom was an amazing human being. Loyal, kind, patient, brilliant, compassionate, trustworthy and lots of fun. What a loss. I have so many memories of days spent in the Matawan house, going to see films in New York and Philadelphia, New Year's Eve parties...When Nancy came along, we always looked forward to just hanging out in my kitchen or visiting Basking Ridge. My love of film started with Tom. There's just too much to write and not enough space. I'm shocked and devastated. We all are. We love you all and will always be here for you.
