Obituary of Justine Farnham

Justine Farnham, 83 passed away peacefully at her home in Basking Ridge on Friday, December 16, 2016. She and her family had resided here since 1980. Justine was born May 1, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Her late parents were Justin D. and Hazel Triem (nee Seiler). Prior to coming to Basking Ridge, she was a long time resident in Staten Island. Justine graduated from high school in Staten Island and Drake Business School in Manhattan. During her business career, she worked in a financial corporation, with AT&T in Morristown. She retired from AT&T in 1991. A born again Christian, Justine was a member of Millington Baptist Church, and then the Maranatha Chapel at the Fellowship Deaconry in Liberty Corner. She was active in several ministries at the Deaconry, a strong supporter of animal welfare organizations, and life member of the telephone pioneers. She was also an ardent volunteer at the Somerset Hills VNA for several year, earning the honorary title "The Toy Lady" for her work there. Justine leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Roy A. Farnham, her son Justin C. Farnham of Cranford and wife Sandra (nee Pennino), two grandsons, Justin E. Farnham of Cranford and Jason G. Farnham of Chester, NJ, and her loving sister Nancy DiMasi of Cocoa, Florida. A private memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
