Obituary of Julius Paul Lobai
Julius P Lobai, 62, of Basking Ridge, passed away on Friday October 22, 2010 at Morristown Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10am at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday October 25, 2010 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home. Born in Newark, NJ, Julius grew up in Vailsburg, NJ. He resided in West Orange prior to moving to Basking Ridge, NJ.
He Graduated from Bishop Francis Essex Catholic High School prior to attending and graduating from Seton Hall University in 1970 where he was a member of the Sigma Pi fraternity. He received a Master's in Graphic Communications Technology Management in 2004 from Kean University.
Julius severed his country proudly in the United States Army National Guard.
He was the owner of a successful advertising firm, JPL Communications. He was also an adjunct professor at Kean University and Katherine Gibbs School in Montclair.
He was a Special Olympics Coach, a past member of both the Bernard's township and Somerset County Planning Boards, and volunteered countless hours to the West Orange Main Street Redevelopment Program.
Julius was a great friend and a wonderful companion. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving is Julius's sister Madeline, and cousins Carmine Milici and Phil Sinato.
