Obituary of Mary Jane Rapp

Mary Jane Rapp, 87 of Basking Ridge passed away peacefully on August 1, 2016 at Sunrise Assisted Living. She lived in Monroe Twp. for 25 years and before that was Murry Hill. Mary graduated from Montclair College in 1979 with a masters degree and started her teaching career at Newark State College from 1969 – 1970. She then took a job at Milburn Twp. Board of Education where she worked for 20 years before retiring. She was a life member of the New Jersey Education Association. Mary loved to spend her free time traveling and caring for her dogs especially "Missy". She is predeceased by her life partner Robert Kay in 2015, and her son Michael Rapp in 1995. She is survived by Robert's son Sheldon Kay and his wife Ann Stephenson. Also survived by 1 grandson. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge from 10:00 – 11:00am. Graveside Service will follow at 12 Noon at Graceland Memorial Park, 1900 Galloping Hill Rd, Kenilworth, NJ.
