Margie was my cousin but was really like a sister to me. The times we shared together..,.visits with her in New Jersey and in Florida...are now memories that I will cherish forever.
Margie's father, my Uncle Charlie, was the sibling that took care of my mother in his home during part of her teen-aged years and in turn, we had Margie's brother Bob living with us in Texas for a few years. There was a special closeness between our two families and I will miss talking about those times with Margie. She was beautiful inside and out, generous, giving, loving and these attributes can be seen in her children and grandchildren. Our hearts go out to Ed and the immediate family. Please know our thoughts are with you even though we cannot be there in person. I can't tell you how much we will miss her.
Much love from Nancy & Steve

I had the great fortune of getting to know Marge in 1978 through her unique and adoring daughter and my best friend Jane. The gifts Marge offered never had a price tag attached....they were the gifts of human compassion; the touch of a hand, the availability of time, the ear to listen and the tenderness of words. I often watched in amazement the gentle and unrelenting love that existed between her and Ed, her and her children and her and the generations that followed. What Marge gave and received are the truest gifts between people. I send my deepest condolences to all and I will remember forever.

Today we have lost an iconic woman who is truly irreplaceable! I have myriad memories of how “Aunt” Margie touched my life with her witty, yet sage advice. But, what stands out is how she would create funny ways to communicate her most poignant thoughts.
So, to the queen of limericks…
There lived a woman named Marge
Who caressed the world with such charge
All the lives she touch are so blessed
We thank God for this brilliant bequest
In body she’s not but her spirit will never unknot
With loving memory to dear Ed, Stevie, Bobby and Janekins, I love you all,
Deb

My sincere condolensces to such a wonderful family. Jane I grieve with you as so many wonderful memories of your Mom's giving spirt flood my heart. I will always remember her as a doting wife, parent, and astute teacher. Above all else I will cherish the moments we spent growing up in your home. I still smile and cringe when I think about your skating party. Your Mom was so gracious in spite of the broken wrist that I caused when she and I fell together.

Marge was the definition of a "lady." She was gracious, elegant, intelligent,
witty and a dear friend.
We had the priviledge of meeting the Riechmans because they became our clients at our hairdressing salon in New Jersey. She and Ed would travel down to the shore for to visit with an elderly aunt and then get her haircut with John.Marge and Ed were our "favorite" clients andd soon became our good friends. Although we moved to Florida 4 years ago we stayed in contact and visited them in Jupiter Fl. I will always remember how she engaged my teenaged daughters and she and Ed played cards with them for hours.Marge could "connect" with all age groups and could make anyone feel comfortable. My girls had such a great time that weekend.Marge and Ed were a special couple and an example to us all. They were gentle, loving and respectful to one another and fun to be around. We will miss Marge and she will not be forgotten by the Gregory family. We thank Jane for the thoughtful phone call and appreciate the honor of grieving with the Riechman family. Special prayers to Ed and our deepest sympathies to a wonderful husband for the loss of his best friend. Marge will be greatly missed by all that knew her. John, Debra,Emma, and Sara Gregory

Margie was part of the most wonderful extended family that anyone could ever have. To say that she always made me feel special doesn't begin to describe what a pleasure it was to be around her. Margie always had a twinkle in her eye and was both warm and funny. To all of Margie's immediate and extended family, please accept my sincere condolences, she will be missed.

Margie was such an amazing person. Always gracious, always loving and always with a twinkle in her eye. Growing up I used to sleep over at their place back when Seder's were small enough to be held there. Even as a little kid it was hard not to be awed by how much in love she and Eddie were. Long walks... Long talks.... Holding hands???? Didn't that only happen in the movies? I still hold out hope that I'll find someone as special to me, as she was to Eddie ( and truthfully EVERYONE who had the privilege to meet her).
Sweetie, you will be missed!
Ps... As a quick aside... I am always having trouble with my spell check, and as I reread this note before sending I noticed it said " and always with a tinkle in her eye" I know she would have loved that!

My Aunt Margie may have been an adopted aunt, but she was as close to me and our family as any other relative. Memories abound of the good times at the Reichman home, from watching everyone interact with Jet, one of their beloved puppies, to just being loved so much by someone so dear. Throughout her life, my Aunt Margie gave of herself to her family and friends, and eventually, to organizations like Sage. I remember when Bobby painted the ceiling of his bedroom black and I thought and expressed to Aunt Margie just how cool that was. Of course, Aunt Margie acted as an intermediary for me with my parents when I wanted to do the same. In all ways, one of the truly gracious and elite personages of our day. Together, Aunt Margie and Uncle Eddie have been a special couple. They are an example of a husband and wife who are their partners best friends. We will miss Aunt Margie. However, now, she is lighting up Heaven in her unique way with her beautiful smile and dazzling personality. My thoughts and those of my family to Uncle Eddie, Stephen and his family, Bobby and his family, and Jane and her family.

"Aunt" Margie is one of those special people that you hope to meet in your life. Warm, always smiling and taking true interest in what you had to say. A vey close friend to our family- I had the opportunity to spend a few nights at Aunt Margie and Uncle Ed's. Walking Jet with Mr. Schnieder, memories at the old Springfield Bowl- and many times at their house on Garden Oval. I feel fortunate that we were able to see Aunt Margie- in July and rekindle many old and new memories. I know that she has taken a candle with her that illuminates- she has always brightened every room by being in it. Thoughts and prayers go out to Uncle Ed, Steve and family, Bobby and family and Jane and family- during this very difficult time.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to her immediate family, especially Eddie, Steve, Bobby and Jane.

Cousin Margie set standards to which I continue aspire in so many areas: loving wife, "tuned-in" mother, devoted daughter, warm and caring relative and friend to many. There was no feeling of "removed" among first cousins, whatever their official generation. As a child, I enjoyed her warmth and beauty...as an adult, I enjoyed her friendship and counsel.
All the lives touched by Our Little Margie were changed for the better. We will treasure our memories of her forever.

Anyone who knows Margie will find no surprises in what I say here, but, I must say these things because it makes me feel closer to her again.
Margie was a very special friend, a truly wise head and a wonderful counselor. She had the great and rare gift of truly listening. I sometimes wish I had taken notes when we were together.
Her outlook on life was always positive- but realistic. And her wisdom was combined with a sweet and loving wit.
I was indeed fortunate to know her. I will miss her terribly.
Al and I loved the times we spent with MargeandEddie.(One word)!
We send our love to Eddie and their wonderful family.

Growing up on Garden Oval-special times and special memories of "Aunt" Margie, "Uncle" Eddie" and the entire family! So many to choose from: play dates to walks to school to sleep overs!! My favorite memory is when Aunt Margie sent me a letter when I was in camp and taped all the pieces from a pack of flavored stiped gum-each on a different line and wrote something special for me for each flavor!! I never ate the gum because I thought it was so cool and I saved that letter for a very long time-it would make me smile each time I read it. I send my deepest sympathies to the whole family.

I know that lighting a second candle may be unusual, but I believe that Aunt Margie can read these and my thoughts are for her to read.
Aunt Margie, yesterday I attended the beautiful service in your honor. I had a chance to look at the plaque in the entranceway of founders and once again, saw your name along with Uncle Eddie's. A flood of memories came back to me as they did during the entire day. I remember your infectious smile and twinkling eyes that always brightened the mood. I remember your insistence that I wasn't allowed to "lose" my brother, no matter how much I thought my parents would appreciate it. I remember the close friendship our families have had. But, I especially remember sitting in your kitchen talking with you as if I were a grownup. Saying to you (in my own way) that your children (Steven, Bobby and Jane) are so terrific and, along with the Kramer twins (almost behind you), that it must be something on Garden Oval that caused them to be so amazing.
Aunt Margie, yesterday I saw Steven for the first time in at least 15+ years, and Bobby, for the first time in at least 25 years possibly as many as 40 years. Over the years, I have seen Jane occassionally. I know that you have always been proud of them. As you should be. As parents, one of our only wishes is to raise our children to be responsible, loving, gracious, caring, self-sufficient adults. From my vantage point, you and Uncle Eddie have exceeded all of your expectations. We have always known that you and Uncle Eddie have been exceptional parents and yesterday, it was apparent for all to see. Your legacy here is certainly safe. God Bless you. Love to you. Michael, Jane, and our children
