Obituary of Ann M Bunin

Ann Maree Bunin, 71, died peacefully in her home on May 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished wife, mother, nurse, sister, and friend. She was a 1965 graduate of Kings County Hospital Center School of Nursing in Brooklyn, NY, where she met her husband of over 50 years. At her graduation, she was awarded the medal for Best Bedside Nursing, with her husband-to-be proudly looking on. She worked as a Critical Care Nurse in Kings County Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center, and Coney Island Hospital, where she tirelessly cared for the ill and injured. At Coney Island Hospital, she was involved in leukemia research in Coney Island's Life Island Unit. She was born in Indooroopilly, Australia to the late Evelyn and Gus Ball and was raised in Nanticoke, PA. She is survived by her beloved husband, Barry, loving children, Laurence and Jessica, and best friend, sister and confidante, Dorothy Bagley, as well as her brothers and sisters, Ella Ritz, George Ball, William Ball, Daniel Ball, Peter Ball, Barry Ball and Kathy Jones. She is also mourned by her Godmother, Dulce Oakhill and Joyce Gray of Queensland, Australia. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25th 2016, 11:00am, at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. Internment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers dontations may be made in her memory to the Morristown Medical Center, Carol Simon Cancer Center.
