Richard & family,
This note is so late - I hope you will see it. I just heard of Ann's passing and am so deeply saddened. Ann made such an impact on me in college and helped to ignite my lifelong love of psychology. I will never forget her kindness toward me while I was at Lafayette College, both as a student and as an Adjunct Professor. One of my happiest memories with her was her standing in for my mom at an awards ceremony and her delight in my taking her on a tour of the dorms that evening. Her smile was infectious, she was so bright and yet down to earth, and she had a way of making her students feel special and cared about. I loved corresponding with her in the years since I graduated and so appreciated her enthusiasm and encouragement of me during life's twists and turns. I have thought about her many times over the years and wish I had reached out more often. I hope she knew how special she was to me.
And Richard - you also made a big impact on my life during my time at Rutgers. I have always considered myself truly blessed to have worked with both you and Ann. I would love to hear from you any time and I wish you all the best.
Sending love to you and everyone who misses Ann,
Hillarie

I just was sent news of Ann's death. Ann was a year older than I, a sophomore when I was a freshman at the University of Rochester. She was a shining light in my dorm: funny, smart, and exceptionally kind. I did not stay in touch with her, but I have never forgotten her. It sounds like she had a life full of beloved family and excellent work. I am sorry for your loss.

I am saddened to hear of Ann's passing. She was a wonderful colleague and friend. Ann was well respected for her intellect and her sense of fairness. Lafayette College is a better place because of her devotion to teaching.

I am so sad to hear of Ann's passing. She was my colleague and friend at Lafayette College for more than 25 years and when she retired, we lost one of our shining lights. Her quick mind, contagious laugh, superb organizational skills, and warm caring for others made her an excellent professor and department chair. Alzheimer's disease cruelly took many of these qualities away, but I will always remember Ann as she was often found--telling stories and laughing. My heart goes out to Richard, Brian, Michael, and Alex. In sympathy...
