Obituary of Ann Lopez

Mrs. Ann Lopez, 96, of Basking Ridge, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at her home. Ann was born in Brooklyn, NY (daughter of Francis and Angelina Anacreonte). She was a woman of tenacity, style and faith. Ann was very active and a long-time member of the Garden Club in Briarcliff, NY. For a short time Ann was also a member of the Garden Club in Basking Ridge and Saints Joachim and Anne Society at St. James Church in Basking Ridge. Ann particularly cherished her days living in Paris for 2 years, maintaining friendships acquired until the remainder of her life. She was an accomplished knitter & needleworker, and was an avid dog lover. Ann is predeceased by her loving husband Mario A. Lopez of 50 years, her two brothers Anthony and Joseph Anancreonte, and her two sisters Sarina Amoto, and Mary Mignano. Ann is survived by her son Arthur Lopez and his wife Pam, daughter Diane Lopez, also survived by her grandchildren Anthony, Lynn, Laura, and Mariel. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at St Mary's Abbey Church, 230 Mendham Rd, Morristown, NJ 07960, from 9:30 – 11:00am. Mass will follow at the church, 11:00am. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
