Obituary of Sylvia J Yacullo
Sylvia June Yacullo, 94, of Basking Ridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015.
She was born in London, England in 1921. Sylvia was an RAF Plotter during World War II, at which time she met her husband, Joseph, who was serving in the USA Air Force.
Mrs. Yacullo was an active member of the D.B.E. for many years. She loved to garden and play bridge at her leisure as well as entertain friends within her social circle. Sylvia was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother which was indicative of the love and laughter she spread.
She was the widow of the late, Joseph Yacullo. Married for 63 years, they were the epitome of a devoted and loving couple who enjoyed traveling and surrounding themselves with family and friends.
Survivors include her two children, Christine Van Tassel of Bernardsville, Mark Yacullo of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Fayth Van Tassel-Mulvey of Mendham, Darren Van Tassel of San Diego, CA and Anthony Yacullo of Los Angeles, CA. She was blessed to have met and loved her great grandson, Aiden Mulvey.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015, at the Church of Saint James Church in Basking Ridge.
