Eileen and family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. While I didn't know Frank that well, he was always pleasant when I came around the gas station. Both my mom and dad used to talk about how impressive it was how hard both Frank and Eileen worked to run the Getty smoothly. He must have been doing something right to raise four successful children!
My dearest sympathies,
Brendan Farley

Dear Eileen,
My heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
In the 20+ years I've know Frank, I never left the station without a smile on my face. Behind his apparently gruff exterior there was a great sense of humor and a man worth spending time with. Even when a car was severely damaged, Frank would have me laughing until I had tears in my eyes. The last couple of years have been tough but I'll always remember Frank for the laughter and the smiles.
God bless.
George

Frank was a true asset to our community. When I first met Frank I admittedly mistook his gruff mannerisms as those of a grumpy old man, but my father encouraged me to give him a second chance. As usual my father was right, and I was happy I listened. Over the past couple of decades I enjoyed sharing witty banter with Frank, and I always looked forward to hearing his views on current news events, politics and just life in general. Frank was always willing to help anyone who entered his establishment, whether they were first time acquaintances or long time customers. I will sorely miss Frank, as will my family and the community members that took the time to meet him. Rest in peace Frank, rest in peace.

Dear Eileen and Family:
Maddy and I are deeply saddened by your loss and extending to you our heartfelt condolences.
I always admired Frank's rough side and always looked through it.
We admired the work and care and thoughtfulness he put into every job of ours.
He has suffered the past few years and he is truly in a better place. There are plenty of others up there he can start growling at.
Please understand in his own way, he touched many people.
Take care and cherish the memories.
Our love,
Maddy and Ken Liroff

Our deepest condolences go out to his wife Eileen and his 4 children and 10 grandchildren; all of whom he was most proud of. Frank was a special caring man who was the hardest working person I have ever known. He always took the time to help me whether he was busy or not and we always enjoyed his views on politics, the armed forces, and other topics that he was so well versed on. We need more people like Frank to emulate and the world will be much better for it.
Rest in Peace our good friend as you are gone but not forgotten,
Darlene and Bill Aimetti

We are so sorry to hear of Franks passing. Having a "neighborhood" business like theirs that was operated with such kindness makes my years of living here in BR special.

I was so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. For as long as I've lived in Basking Ridge Frank and Eileen were part of "my" town. Bus tickets and gas fill ups and small banter took place but it was evident how hard he worked and how much he cared. Very kind and helpful to all their customers.
I wish him eternal peace and my condolences to his family.

How sad -- when I first moved here I called to see if they could charge a dead battery on one of our cars. They said to come in and I could use their charger because they were not in the business of coming out and were very busy. Frank let me borrow a battery charger -- for free -- said he knew I'd return it and didn't even ask for ID.
During Sandy he searched his basement high and low to find oil containers he had stored somewhere for me for my tiny generator and barely charged me. They were blacked out and I'm sure he was there for a reason and I was intruding, but you'd never know it.
Frank and Eileen were and will always be part of the story of why I love living in Basking Ridge. I am truly saddened by his passing.
My condolences -- he and his family have a special place in my heart.

Frank was one of my best friends in this world. He would give you the shirt off his back without you even needing to ask for it. He was a great man that I will miss very very very much. I'll keep him in my prayers for the rest of my life.
