Dear Fiander Family,
Betty will remember that we lived up the street on Oakley Avenue. Dick always admired out bamboo porch furniture and asked that my father sell it to him. Do not know what happened to it, but think it went with the house.
Dick and I were professionals for the City of Summit with me being the City Clerk so we interacted regularly. I recall his great smile and laugh. He was always the professional with his dealings with the Common Council.
From the "it is a small world", I ran into Dick once on Martha's Vineyard, we had a laugh.
Dick was an interesting person and I am proud to have known him.
My condolences to the entire family.
