Obituary of Mary E McKay
Mary Schlosser McKay, 92, passed away on March 27, 2015 in Care One, Madison. Born in Bernardsville in 1922, Mary was one of ten children. At the time of her death, she was the last surviving child of Mary Uveges and John Schlosser. She was a lifelong resident of Bernardsville and the wife of Thomas McKay who died in 1990. They were married for forty-five years. Mary was a caring soul who ministered to others throughout her life. Additionally, she retired at age 80 from the Bernards High cafeteria staff where she served Bernardsville's teens from 1967. Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Linda, and granddaughter, Kerry; and four great grandchildren, Collin, McKaylea, Linnea and Kai who were the reasons for her long life. She spent her final years surrounded by many nieces and nephews who visited and shared their love with her. Along with her brothers and sisters, Mary has reunited joyfully with her granddaughter, Dana, who passed away in 2010. A Memorial Mass will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, April 18, 10:30 am, at Sacred Heart Chapel, Bernards Avenue,Bernardsville, NJ. Burial of her ashes will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
