Obituary of Marianne Winne

Marianne Mellett Winne of Bridgewater NJ passed away in her home on Monday morning, January 12, 2015. Marianne is predeceased by her husband Edward. She is survived by daughters Maura, Katy, Gayle, son Brian, and 11 grandchildren. Marianne grew up and lived most her life in Winfield Park, NJ. Her parents John and Mary Catherine Mellett moved to Winfield when she was 2 years old. She lived there with her predeceased parents, her predeceased sister Margret Lambert and surviving siblings Fredrick Mellett, Katherine Penelope Maynard, and Patricia Dattler. On April 8, 1967 Marianne married Eddie Winne and they began their life together in Winfield. They were married at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, where Marianne had been a parishioner for over 60 years. In 1996, Eddie and Marianne worked hard to a achieve the dream of owning a beach house to enjoy with their children and grandchildren. In 2009, a few years after Eddie's death, Marianne moved to Bridgewater to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Marianne was happiest at home raising her children and having her parents 2 doors down. She spent her life taking care others with a very giving heart. Once her children were grown she started to work for L'Oréal in Clark, NJ. She eventually retired and devoted herself to taking care of her very sick husband. To everyone who knew Marianne she was kind and compassionate. Her life centered on loving her family: immediate family, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She cared for everyone and tried to make sure everyone was going to church. May she rest in peace, we will miss you so very much.
