Obituary of Thomas R. Blaney

Thomas R. Blaney, Sr. passed away at Morristown Medical Center on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with his children at his side. Born January 4, 1941 in Morristown, Tom lived most of his life in New Vernon. He attended Harding Public Schools and he was a New Vernon volunteer fire fighter. Tom graduated Morristown High School in 1960 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps (1960-1964). Tom then became employed by New Jersey American Water Company up until his 2009 retirement. Tom was predeceased by his parents Robert P. Blaney (9/7/89) and most recent Gloria M. Blaney (9/29/14). Tom is survived by his ex-wife Linda, his daughter Lorrie, sons Thomas Jr. and William, his ex-daughter-in-law Maria, his beloved granddaughters Kylee and Natalie, and his faithful companion Buster. Memorial Service in remembrance will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
