Obituary of Jessie Bledsoe

Jessie Ellen Bledsoe, 87, of Bernardsville, died Sunday, October 5, 2014 peacefully in her home. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 11, 1927 where she grew up with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Kohn. Jessie was a loyal and dedicated RealEstate Agent throughout New Jersey for 20 years and spent the remainder of her career life at AT&T to which she retired as a respected friend. She was a lover of life and enjoyed being out in the community and dedicating her time to help those in need. For many years, Jessie donated and volunteered at the Midland School in Branchburg, NJ to help those in need. Jessie spent various days volunteering with the Pioneers, and helping out at the Presbyterian Church in Basking Ridge, NJ, where she assisted with reception and met with fellow church members. She also enjoyed delivering quilts to those who needed warmth and comfort in the community. One of Jessie's greatest pleasures in life was her family. Jessie will be remembered and continue to live on through her brother Bob Kohn, a Korean War Veteran, and his wife Roberta Kohn. She showed great pride in raising both her beloved son Mark Bledsoe and daughter Susan Ulm. Jessie's greatest blessing was her various grandchildren; Janell and Lauren Bledsoe, Emily and Melissa Dolgos, Jennifer and Joshua Ulm, and her dearest great-grandchild, Sophia ViTruong. She also rests peacefully with her beloved grandchild Stacey Bledsoe. Following the burial service will be the memorial service at 6:30pm located in the sanctuary as well as a reception in the Westminster hall.
