Obituary of Marie T Welsh

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, 94 Marie T. Welsh, 94, of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away peacefully in the presence of loving family on Thursday, August 14, 2014. Born in Camden, NJ, she spent her early married years raising her family in Collingswood, NJ. In 1962 she moved to Bernardsville, NJ where she was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. She most recently resided at Sunrise Assisted Living in Basking Ridge, NJ. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert E. Welsh, in 1982. She is survived by her eight children: Barbara Shooter and her husband William; Jean Buchanan; Elizabeth Hannan and her husband Lawrence; Roberta Camera and her husband David; Robert E. Welsh Jr. and his wife Cindy; Marie Brown and her husband Jeffrey; Colleen Allen and her husband William; and Michael K. Welsh. She is also survived by her 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as her beloved brother Francis J. "Bud" Flemming of Williamstown, NJ and her sister Gloria Broome of Fontana, CA. She will be dearly missed by her long-time friend and companion Bob Scerbo of Summit, NJ. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, Bernards Ave, Bernardsville, NJ. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Basking Ridge.
