Obituary of Nancy L Fabian

Nancy Lynn (Antieri) Fabian, 49, of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Morristown Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side. Nancy was born in Newark on July 31, 1964, grew up in West Orange and graduated in 1982 from high school – Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell. She received a bachelor's degree in economics in 1986 from Cook College, Rutgers University. She then began her career with the COMEX - Commodities Exchange - in lower Manhattan. Later, while working as a securities trader with Avatar Associates in New York City, in September, 1995, after four years of intense finance study, The Board of Trustees of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts conferred the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) upon Nancy Antieri Fabian for having fulfilled all the requirements prescribed for this designation. Later, Nancy spent several years with Merrill Lynch in Princeton, NJ as a mutual fund analyst. With the birth of her second son in 2002, Nancy left her successful business career and took on the important roles of full time mother and homemaker. Nancy was a devoted and loving wife and mother; her unexpected death leaves a tremendous void for her husband, sons, family and friends. Nancy attended St. James Catholic Church in Basking Ridge. She participated in several local groups including Basking Ridge Parents Teachers Association, Somerset Hills YMCA Multi-sports group, Pleasant Valley Pool Association and was a supporter of the Berkeley Aquatic Club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and sons to our National parks and tropical destinations. She was an active reader, exerciser, and most of all, swimmer. With zeal she supported her sons' undertakings in school, scouting and especially encouraged their excellent achievements in swimming. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years Mark W. Fabian and loving sons Mark Gregory – 14 and Christopher Peter – 12. Also surviving are her father and mother – S. Louis and Marie Antieri of Roseland; her sister Marie and her husband Ron Smith and their children Ashley and Nicole of Herdon, VA.; her brother Michael Antieri, his wife Leigh Ann of San Antonio, TX, and their children, Kristin and Alison; and her brother Paul Antieri, his wife Patty and their children, Elisa, Michelle and Jeremy of Agua Dulce, CA. She is also survived, by her father in-law and mother in-law, Morris S. and Marilyn Fabian and her brother in-law and sister-in-law, Morris G. and Kathy Fabian and their children, Sam and Diana, all of Pennington, NJ. Visitation will be on Monday, July 7, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. James Catholic Church, 184 South Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge. Interment will follow at Pennington Cemetery, 13 South Main Street, Pennington, NJ.
