Jeff Battis posted a condolence
Mrs. DeFilippis and family,
I was very saddened to read of Ed's passing. I first met Ed in the mid-late 1960's as a result of our jobs. I was a Watchung Police officer. We would met at the scene of a accident or some other electrical problem. Over the years I would find that Ed would quickly take control of the situation and make repairs as quick as possible. I saw that Ed had the respect of his co-workers. Ed had a great sense of humor and always would bring a smile to my face with one of his jokes and make the time of waiting for the repairs less stressful. My wish for you is that the many good memories of your times with Ed brings you comfort and peace at this time. God bless Ed.
Best wishes,
Jeff Battis

We are all better people for having known uncle Ed.
He and his family were such a part of my youth, from the values he taught me to to the experiences he provided.
He entertained and conned us every chance he had and they are all part of me and my family. The memories could fill a book
He will be missed and we will pray for aunt Carol and the family.
Respectfully,
Mel, Betsy and Esther Haynes
