Linda Moore Grant, 86, of Morris Plains, N.J., died on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, after a brief illness. Linda was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 62 years, Patrick Joseph Grant, her parents, Robert Elwood Moore and Linda Tannahill Flockhart Moore, and her sister, Marguerite (Margot) Moore O'Neill. She is survived by four loving sons, Robert E. Grant of Ewing, N.J., Patrick Jeffrey Grant of Lanham, Md., Christopher J. Grant of Wayne, Pa., and Thomas B. Grant of Kennett Square, Pa., and seven grandchildren. Linda was born in Newark, N.J. on Oct. 26, 1923. She lived in South Orange, Summit, Maplewood, Short Hills and Nyack, N.Y. She was a 1941graduate of the School of the Holy Child Jesus, in Suffern, N.Y. and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. Linda was a full time homemaker. She and her husband lived in Springfield and Watchung while raising their four sons. They moved to Watchung in 1974, and subsequently moved to Morris Plains in 2007. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. There will be a viewing at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, N.J. 07920 between the hours of 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2010. There will be a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010, in the Chapel at Our Lady of the Mount Catholic Church (across the street from the main church), 167 Mt. Bethel Rd., Warren, N.J. 07059, to be followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Basking Ridge, N.J.
