Obituary of Thomas G Bradley

Thomas Gregory Bradley   Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Thomas Gregory Bradley passed away peacefully at Morristown Memorial Hospital during the early morning hours of Saturday, October 19, 2013.   Tom’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, NJ, from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at St. James Church, 184 South Finley Ave in Basking Ridge, NJ.  Immediately following the mass, there will be a burial at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ.   Tom was born on November 24, 1934 in Long Branch, NJ.  He attended Monmouth College, where he was part of the school’s first 4-year graduating class.  Tom enjoyed two successful and rewarding careers, first at AT&T, Long Lines (1958-1988) and later at the Diocese of Metuchen (1989-2005).  He served his country in the Air National Guard Reserves from 1958-1964, and he served his community as a parishioner of St. James Church, as an Usher, a member of the Holy Name Society, a Third Degree Knights of Columbus, and, from 1973-1993, an Assistant Boy Scout Leader for Troop 54 of Liberty Corner, NJ.   Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret M. (Hogan) Bradley, and his three children, Greg Bradley of Lawrenceville, GA, Kathy and her husband Dan Mehan of Somerville, NJ, and Tricia and her husband Kerry Morris of Tewksbury, NJ.  He was the devoted Grandfather of: Emily, Gregory, Madeline, Shannon and Catherine Bradley, Jordan and Kelsey Mehan, Bryan, Kelly, Liam, Sean and Caitlin Morris.  Tom is also survived by his sister, Susan McBrien of New York, and his three brothers: Stephen and wife Sue of South Carolina, Robert of Virginia, and Richard and wife Cheryl of Virginia.  Tom adored his many, beautiful nieces and nephews and loved spending time with his in-laws, Mary Ann Warren, Jim Hogan and Kathy & Tom Murphy.   In lieu of flowers, a donation in Tom’s memory may be made to the Liberty Corner First Aid Squad or a charity of your choice.
