Obituary of Karen Jeanne Terry
Karen Jeanne Terry, 53, passed away October 9th at her home in Schaller, IA.
She was born to Walter and Joan Terry of Basking Ridge, NJ, on January 11, 1960. Karen graduated from Ridge High School in 1978. She moved to Bassett, NE, with her family in 1991. In 2008, she moved again, to Shaller, IA, with Brian Ehrp.
Karen had a variety of jobs, working in a chiropractor's clinic, a variety store, and managing the Bassett Lodge and Range Cafe. Her passions were painting and crafts, landscaping and gardening, and spending time with friends and family, including frequent trips back to Basking Ridge.
Karen was a very loving mother, daughter, and partner. She was a loyal friend and inspiring artist. She gained great joy from house and yard projects; Karen was highly capable and determined. Her personality was irresistible, and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her parents, Walter and Joan Terry of Basking Ridge; her brother Jim, his wife Lori and son Spencer of Glen Gardner, NJ; her sons, Christopher and Daniel Schoenberg of Nebraska; her grandmother Katherine Newmark of Mendham Township, NJ; Brian Ehrp of Schaller, IA; best friend Susan Rich of Glen Gardner; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and dear friends.
A service will be held on Thursday October 17, 2013 at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, at 11am. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Funeral Home on Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 5 pm - 8 pm.
