Obituary of Chwan Ti Hsieh

Chwan Ti Hsieh, 87, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Shanghai, China, he immigrated to this country in 1979 with his wife and youngest daughter with the goal of one day uniting his entire family here in the United States.  After many years of hard work with the Wilson family and the Raiffe family (previous owners of Gund Corp.),  he was finally able to realize that dream.  He adored his town and loved living in Society Hill where he was admired by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.  A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he inspired many and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love of life and people. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Hua Jung, and has six children: Hong Ying, Jay, Hong Xia, Shil, Chu, and Mei. Chwan was also blessed with 11 grandchildren: Hua, Lin, Nan, Amy, Jim, Kevin, Michael, John, Julie, Christine, and Michelle along with 10 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 10AM-12PM on Tuesday, September 24, at the Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home located on 101 South Finley Avenue in Basking Ridge followed by a service at the home.  Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
