Obituary of Joseph Anthony Urciuoli

Joseph Anthony Urciuoli Jr. formally of Westfield, NJ passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home Thursday August 1, 2013. Joseph was one of the first five men to be drafted from Westfield in 1940. He fought in the African, Italian, French and German campaigns until 1945. He held the rank of Technician 5th Grade working as a Pigeoneer. He was later promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield and a member of the Holy Trinity Social Club. He is survived by his wife off 66 years, a son and his wife; a daughter and her husband, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Arrangements are being held at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home in Basking Ridge, NJ. The viewing is Sunday August 4th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
