Our memories of Annie Banana will always be special. We adored her every time she visited us in Florida since she loved coming here and always felt at home. We always had the BIGGEST Hershey bar waiting for her on arrival. She wouldn't put our dogs down and held them as much as she could. She kept saying she was going to take them home with her! Every morning we got such a kick out of watching her drink her cup of sugar with a touch of coffee and light up those darn cigarettes, but I guess all this is what made her so strong and gave her all that longevity. She enjoyed every minute of it too! We will all sadly miss her and our thoughts and prayers are with George and Gail and George and Carol. We love you all.

I just sent a note to George thinking it would be on this message board. I loved my times with aunt Anna, she was a great listener and always fun to be with and a second mother to my sister Carole.my favorite crimi. I have learned that the secret of longevity is pall malls and coffee with some chocolate thrown in . I know you will miss her terribly but how fortunate you were to have her for so long. May she rest in peace, not so sure of that if she is with the rest of the crisis. Love and prayers to you both, Gail and George and George, love robin, aka bobbie

How we are blessed for the company we have shared with Anne. Such a long life which touched so many. We will continue to smile remembering the great joy she took in Mia and shared with us all. Great times around the kitchen table over coffee, cigarettes and just "a little something" to eat:) And her role as Chef in the amazing Lobster dinner tableau remains indelible! With deepest condolences to Gail and George. Love, Dale and Doug Moran.

George, Gail, friends and family of Anne DiCostanzo, “Annie”.
We mourn the loss of a sweet, caring and loving friend, relative and mother to Gail and George.
Mothers are like flowers….each one is uniquely beautiful in her own way. God created Annie like a beautiful red rose, a reflection of His beauty. She diffused the fragrance of His love and knowledge to all who knew her. Annie was sent from heaven for a very special purpose, to enter into every heart with whom she met. She spread her life giving aroma to each one of us which will last forever.
Annie was an extraordinary creation. Her beauty and heavenly fragrance will continue to eternity. We must become as Annie, a beautiful flower, each one of us special in God’s garden. From what she has taught us, we will continue her legacy: the wisdom she gave us, the hope she instilled, to just have faith, she promised, and her love that she surrounded us with.
This sweet petite woman was bigger than life. Annie was my friend. One in a million, a perfect gem. I was truly blessed to have met her. She wiped away my tears, we laughed together, she gave me advice and was never judgmental. She influenced me greatly with her enormous strength, her kindness and her patience. She was a loyal and a real friend to all who knew her. What a very precious gift to have had her in our lives. A person must seek far and wide during his or her lifetime to really find true friendship. It is a very rare and a priceless treasure that once found must be handled as delicately as a new born baby. Most of all it must endure the test of time. When somewhere along the road of life your friend departs from this earth to enter into the eternal kingdom of heaven, we must know that she still lives in our hearts and in our spirit. Annie will continue to walk with us when our hearts are broken, she will know when we are suffering and she will also celebrate our joy and happiness. As the song goes, She will continue to be a light in our lives and give us hope to carry on, she will light up our days and fill our nights with song.
This perfect red rose that God created so fragrant and beautiful blossomed in each of our hearts. Annie’s scent will always be reflected in us. When someone touches our lives the way Annie has, we will never be the same. God blessed us with her and He Himself could be seen in His most precious flower, Annie.
Thank you Annie. Though we will grieve your loss on earth, we rejoice in your life that has touched each of us in a very special way. Your smiles, your hugs, and your words of encouragement will never be forgotten.
One day we will join you in God’s heavenly garden, we know your arms will be open to us as they always have been. Until then may we all diffuse a special scent as you have, spreading the fragrance of faith, hope, charity, kindness, wisdom, patience and most of all, love. Until we meet again my dear friend, we will miss you, we love you and we thank you.

I love all the beautiful comments written by others. I didn't know your mother as much as a lot of other people but she always made my visits interesting. I can't believe she's gone and will always remember her downstairs with Mia and smoking her cigarettes constantly. She was so funny and usually had chocolate or ice-cream downstairs to share. What a lot of fun memories you must have with her. Don't forget if you're ever lonely and want to visit the west, just let me know. I'd love to see you and Pat again while we're still not too old to travel!

My thoughts are with you today Gail and George. I know there will be an emptiness in your home, but hope in your memories her spirit will live on. So nice George and Carol you moved to the East and were able to spend time with your mom. I somehow smile, knowing that Midge will have her friend in heaven. My last visit with your mom was in St. Michael's at Bill and Jane's wedding. She invited me and Midge into her accommodations at the bed and breakfast place. Of course her little dogs were running about, and we just really had a nice visit with her. Love and prayers to you all, Liz Monetti

I am so heartbroken to hear about my family's loss. Aunt Anne was my favorite and oldest family member. I have known her my WHOLE life. I will never forget my visits to NJ with the family. Talking to Aunt Anne was always the best. She was so funny for an elderly lady. She never once was away from her favorite dog, Mia. I know for a fact Aunt Anne is in a better place, rejoicing with the ones she has lost, while looking down on all of us. She had a great life with wonderful people in it! I LOVE YOU AUNT ANNE! We will all miss you VERY much!
