I will never forget skiing with him at Snowbird. I thought I was a hot shot (I was 16), and he was above me when I burned on the steepest face at the Bird. I deposited one ski at a time, hat, goggles, poles and gloves over a 2-block radius and injected ice into my throat by trying to break with my ski boots. It looked like a plane wreck on a steep hill in the Himalayas. He slowly crisscrossed the hill collecting my stuff and skiing down with it all, and once he saw I wasn't hurt (although ego greatly bruised) got a great big grin on his face and said "Christopher" that was the worst burn I have ever seen! He could have really teased me my like my other uncles (not to be named) but was a very kind man. Later, when I was in Silicon Valley, he was very interested in what I was doing and understood it very well. He never bragged about anything, but it was clear he was very successful.
