Obituary of Michael Mennella

Michael Mennella, 57 of Basking Ridge, NJ passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  Michael was born on November 13, 1966 in Queens, NY. He was a lifelong resident of Bernardsville, NJ before moving to Basking Ridge 10 years ago.

Since his youth, Michael was an active member of the family business, Buona Pizza in Bernardsville. In his spare time, Michael was always trying to fix things and loved to work on cars. He enjoyed watching TV with his brother Vito and took great pleasure in making him laugh.

He is survived by his two brothers Mario Mennella and wife Claire of Basking Ridge, NJ, and Vito Mennella of Basking Ridge, NJ. He is also survived by his sister Annemarie Mele of Mine Hill, NJ, and many nieces, nephews, and his beloved cat Fatty Pants.

Michael is predeceased by his dad Michele Mennella in 2019.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 11:00am at St. James Church, 184 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ. Entombment will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
