Pete was fueled by his love of life and told stories about everything from his favorite way to cook salmon, his family friends in Sweden and his gorgeous black Lab, Lilly. An avid reader, he made insightful comments about books and always raised the level of conversation at a dinner party. He was just plain fun to be with.
Pete had a killer smile and made you feel delighted to be with him. Above all, he adored Anne and his fabulous family. They are a testament to his loving and curious spirit and I and so many others miss him terribly.
With love,
Ellie McLean

My husband Robert and I met Pete through the B-Fit program at the Y. He was such an inspiration with his energy level, kindness and cheerfulness! Pete was so delighted one day to tell us about his new Westie puppy, Addie. We thought we were too old for a puppy but followed Pete's lead and were lucky enough to get a puppy from the same breeder. When I think about the joy our Westie, Baxter, brings to our lives, I often remember Pete and how grateful we are for having known him.
Our heartfelt condolences for your loss. Pete was truly a special person.
