Obituary of Robert Trapani
Robert Louis (Bob) Trapani, 73, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, passed away on October 2nd,2024.
Bob was born in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Rita Trapani on January 24,1951. Bob is survived by his wife of 32 years Julie Trapani; his daughter Emma and her husband George McCann; son, Dan Trapani and Kayla Hranj; sister Marie and her husband Tony Casanova as well as his much loved nieces and nephews.
He started his great career as an employee at Macy’s in Herald Square, following in his father’s footsteps. and His favorite memory of his time there was being a toy soldier in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Following Macy’s, he worked at various banks on Wall Street ending his career at DTCC as a Relationship Manager for over 20yrs.
On weekends, in between watching his beloved Mets, Jets and Rangers, nothing gave him more joy than attending hockey and softball games for his kids.
Bob was a lover of music, becoming the DJ at every party hosted. Some may say his love for music rivaled his love for his family… depending on the day.
His family was everything and now everything will not quite be the same.
Funeral service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 140 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11am.
In Lieu of Flowers, the family requests Memorial donations to be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Associations, Arthritis Association and CCFA (Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America).
