William Ralph Skerratt, 77, of Bernardsville, New Jersey, died peacefully on September 14, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center.

Born and raised in Lowellville, Ohio, Bill graduated from Oberlin College in 1969 and later earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. After working as a loan officer for Wall Street banks, he served as an executive at Montgomery Engineering Company and Brilaur Corporation.

Later in life, Bill worked as a freelance audio recording engineer and enjoyed playing bass guitar in several “geezer rock” bands (his words), performing at venues around the area.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Andrea; his daughter, Laura, of Bernardsville; his son Brian, of Brooklyn, New York; and two grandchildren.

Bill will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends for his generosity, kindness, and wry sense of humor.
