90, Of Basking Ridge, 62 Year Resident

Dorothy Marie Collins of Basking Ridge passed away on June 25th, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Brooklyn NY March 29th, 1934 to Sven and Ellen Dalquist and graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in 1952 where she met her future husband Larry. Dorothy loved Basking Ridge and often said “moving here was the best thing we ever did”. She eventually earned a degree in nursing at Thomas Edison College and went on to work at AT&T until her retirement. Dorothy was proud to be a member of the Bonafides, Vasa of NJ, and the Garden Club.

She was predeceased by her husband Larry and daughter Helene. She is survived by her sons Dan and Doug, her sister Geri, grandchildren Lyndsey, Sydney, Clare, Jack, Michael, her dear friend Marilyn and her beloved cat Spider.
