Obituary of Paul R. Goldie

Paul Robert Goldie, 68, a long-time resident of Basking Ridge, NJ, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2024 in Hawley, PA.

 

Visitation will be held at Gallaway and Crane Funeral Home, 101 S. Finley Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 am. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, Basking Ridge, NJ. 

 

Paul was born in Morristown, NJ to Paul and Evelyn Goldie on May 25, 1956. He went to high school at Ridge High School and graduated in 1974. He went on to earn a degree in Bachelor of Science from College of St Elizabeth. He worked as  Computer Science Support for Johnson and Johnson for 31 years. He enjoyed his work with the PaperMill Playhouse, Saucon Valley High School Theater Program and his talented dogs from Goldie Theatrical Dogs. He  received many honors and awards for his work with his dogs and was involved in One Step Closer Animal Rescue (OSCAR).

 

Paul is survived by his brother, John Goldie  of Myrtle Beach, SC and his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his  Father, Paul, Mother, Evelyn, brother David and his Aunt Caroline. 

 

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to One Step Closer Animal Rescue (OSCAR) or the PaperMill Playhouse Education Department. 

 

His passion and love of the theater will be missed by many and his dedication to rescuing dogs is one of a kind. He will be missed.
