Audrey B. Cerrato Muenzen, 87, of Basking Ridge, NJ peacefully entered the fullness of life on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Audrey was born February 8, 1937 in New York City to Dr. Anthony J. And Mrs. Lillian Cerrato. After graduating from the Academy of Mount St. Ursula High School in The Bronx, Audrey earned her BA in English from Good Council College in White Plains and then a Masters of Arts from New York University. Audrey was a loving wife to the late Neil G. (Jerry) Muenzen for 56 years, mother of 5, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 3. Audrey taught english and math at St. James School in Basking Ridge and St. Elizabeth School in Bernardsville. She was a member of the Basking Ridge Garden Club for 31 years, member of The Bonafides and of the Rosary Altar Society at St James Roman Catholic Church where she was a parishioner for 50 years. Audrey had a love of family, traveling, sailing, reading, entertaining, tennis and knitting.

Audrey is predeceased by her husband Jerry, their infant son, Todd Andrew, her parents and brother, Robert J. Cerrato. She is survived by her brother, John Cerrato (Mary Louise), children Susan Comeaux (Phil), Gary Muenzen (Joanne), Patricia Pierson (Robert) and Douglas Muenzen; grandchildren Sara Johnson (Shane), Linnea Donnarumma (Michael), Christopher Orescan, John Morabito, Samuel Morabito, Liam Pierson, Brandon Pierson, Luke Muenzen, Nicole Muenzen, Stephanie Muenzen and great-grandchildren Audrey Johnson, Oliver Johnson and Fiona Donnarumma.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm at Gallaway & Crane Funeral Home, 101 So. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10:00am at the Church of St. James, 184 So. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge followed by Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 145 Mt.
