Susan Reeder, 83, long time resident of Basking Ridge, NJ Passed away at Fellowship Village on April 5, 2024. Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on February 10, 1941, the daughter of the late Carl and Grayce Schwartzkopf, Susan was raised in Marysville, Ohio.

She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, OH and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers. She was employed as a Social Worker for Family and Community Service of Somerset County for many years before starting her own private practice.

She was a devoted wife to her husband Allan and a loving mother to her daughter Tracey. In addition to her daughter she is survived by her nephew Robert, niece Jennifer, brother in law Don, and sister in law Jan. She is Predeceased by her husband of 47 years Allan. She will also be remembered fondly by many as a warm and compassionate friend. She was an attentive listener and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Susan and Allan were long time members of the NJ M.G. "T" Club. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was especially well known among family and friends for her delicious christmas cookies. She loved animals and attending craft shows.

A private memorial service is being planned for a later date. Interment will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Bernards Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to the charitable organization of your choice.
